COSMOS UCSD Teacher Fellows Program: Applications Now Available

The COSMOS UCSD Teacher Fellows program provides an outstanding summer opportunity for local high school teachers. Teacher Fellows serve as the pedagogical bridge between high school student learning and university faculty teaching. Each cluster is led by a UCSD faculty team. The California State Summer School for Mathematics and Science [COSMOS] is a four-week residential summer program open to current 8th-12th motivated high school students with demonstrated interest and achievement in math and science. Located on four University of California campuses (Davis, Irvine, San Diego and Santa Cruz), each campus offers different cluster topics and residential experiences. High achieving students from California, as well as out-of-state and international students are invited to apply to this unique summer opportunity. Applications can be found online at cosmos.ucsd.edu.

2016 AP Computer Science Principles Scholarship
As you know, AP® Summer Institutes (APSIs) offer intensive professional development programs where teachers can network with peers and learn about tools and resources that lead to success in their AP classrooms.
To support the launch of AP Computer Science Principles (CSP) in fall 2016, we are offering scholarships for teachers to attend an APSI in 2016. The AP CSP scholarship covers the cost of tuition for an AP CSP Summer Institute for teachers of AP CSP in the 2016-17 academic year. We encourage you to apply if you are teaching at a school where at least 51 percent of the student population consists of underrepresented minorities (African American, Hispanic/Latino, and/or Native American students) and/or at least 51 percent of the student population qualifies for free or reduced-price lunch.
